About Me
Hey, I'm Jeffrey.
I've spent most of my career working in the tech industry in and around San Francisco, CA. I'm here to advocate for and build software that focuses on helping regular people regain ownership and control of their digital lives.
I also enjoy creating and sharing content online, and I get annoyed by super restrictive platforms that lock you in, take your time, attention, money, and work, all while holding a sword labled "inscrutable algorithms and censorship" to your neck, daring you to put one foot wrong lest they mercilessly sword-chop your digital identity from the rest of you, grind it to dust, and then burn the dust down to its constituent atoms, leaving no path to recourse or recovery.
We deserve better. I'm here to do my part.
Check out my writing and my tech projects which are oriented around how we (individually and structurally) can work to make the internet a better place, as well as actually helping people recenter their digital lives around spaces they can actually control (and even own!)[1], minimizing the pain of the scenario I've described above, which, as I'm sure you know, is how every major platform treats its users now.
[soon, I'll have a longer post explaining why I think this is so important, especially right now. there'll be a link here when that's done!]
